She works well with diverse populations utilizing a respectful and compassionate person-centered focus that allows her to work with individuals from varying backgrounds. Joanna’s current focus is working with adults with trauma, PTSD, OCD, mood disorders, and anxiety. Joanna has experience working with clients with addiction, LGBTQ+, codependency, personality disorders, couple and family conflicts, self-esteem issues and life transitions. She uses a multi-directional approach relying primarily on cognitive behavioral therapy, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) for OCD, dialectical behavioral therapy and trauma therapies to address unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, developing tools to help manage major life stressors and practice mindfulness through meditation and self-care.
