Amy Jordan, LMSW
Amy is a Licensed Master Social Worker who earned a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee in 2015. She initially came to social work through an interest in social justice and service to community, but has focused on deeper therapeutic work in recent years. Her professional experience has been varied, working with LGBTQ+ young adults, women and families experiencing housing insecurity, people with chronic health conditions and disabilities, caregivers, and older adults.
Amy works from a trauma-informed perspective to build a space of trust and gentleness from which to collaborate with adults on their goals. She operates with cultural humility and responsiveness to provide quality, inclusive care. Amy pulls from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in her approach. She seeks to meet people wherever they are on their mental health journey with compassion and hope.
