Emma Eidson, LCSW
Emma is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in the state of Tennessee. Emma graduated from the University of Memphis with her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work in 2019 and Loyola University Chicago in 2020 with her Master of Social Work degree with a focus in mental health from the advanced standing program. Since graduating from her masters program, Emma has worked in a variety of outpatient settings, including office-based community health and school-based therapy working with children, adolescents, adults, and families with a variety of presenting issues.
Emma is a person-centered, trauma-focused therapist at heart. She works to build strong therapeutic relationships with each client she works with to ensure a strong foundation for therapy. She is trained in EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). She utilizes an eclectic model using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT), Personal-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to tailor treatment plans for each client’s unique experiences.
Emma specializes in working with individuals impacted by medical trauma, chronic illness, and chronic pain. She recognizes personally and professionally how these unique issues can impact every aspect of life, and is passionate about helping those impacted by medical trauma and chronic pain and illness feel empowered within their lives. Emma also works with a variety of presenting issues, including PTSD and trauma, depression, anxiety disorders, life transitions and stressors, ADHD, and LGBTQ+ issues.
In her free-time, Emma enjoys spending time with her 2 dogs, Ellie and Roxie, reading, spending time with friends and family, and is most likely sipping on an iced coffee.
