Kathryn Bearden, LMSW

Kathryn is a Licensed Master Social Worker licensed by the state of Tennessee Social Work Board. Kathryn graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minor in child and family studies. Kathryn went on to graduate with a master’s degree in social work with an interpersonal focus specializing in adults and geriatric populations. After graduating with her masters degree, she began working for a hospice agency that focused on residential patients which allowed her to gain knowledge and experience working with a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, caregiver needs, and grief support to clients and their families.

Kathryn is committed to creating an inclusive, affirming space for individuals of all backgrounds, with a particular emphasis on supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Her therapeutic approach is non-traditional, emphasizing a person-centered philosophy that fosters genuine connection, empathy, and compassion for both oneself and others. She recognizes that every client’s journey is unique, and tailors her approach to meet the specific needs of each individual to facilitate growth and healing. Kathryn is passionate about supporting clients through religious trauma, life transitions, grief, terminal illness, caregiver challenges, as well as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Her primary focus is to help adults navigate life’s difficulties and overcome obstacles.
