Heather Charisse, LMSW
Heather Charisse, LMSW, is a Certified AAIT Practitioner with additional training in MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), TF-CBT, and ARC.
As an outpatient therapist, Heather enjoys working with clients navigating anxiety, depression, women’s issues, complex trauma, narcissistic and emotional abuse, and life transitions. She is passionate about helping people find their way through life’s messiest, most overwhelming moments and reconnect with their true selves.
As a therapist, Heather strives to create a warm, compassionate space where clients feel safe to embark on a journey of self-discovery, growth, and transformation. She values curiosity, empathy, and authenticity, and believes meaningful change happens through genuine collaboration between client and therapist.
Heather’s approach is trauma-focused, person-centered, and psychodynamically informed, drawing from CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, AAIT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing to help clients work through current struggles, process the past, and move through life with greater ease toward resilience and healing. She is a committed ally to the LGBTQ+ community and brings particular passion and experience to supporting neurodivergent clients.
